Thorne

Ossex · Medium · Sidearm: Mace

  1. Phase 1 — Trident strikes

    Pattern: Swift trident blow into a tracking three-hit combo; drops delayed bombs along his path.

    Tell: Quick trident wind-up; combo tracks your movement; bombs drop as he moves.

    Counter: Stay near arena edges to escape bomb chains. Short burst damage so you can disengage.

  2. Phase 2 — Tornado burst

    Pattern: Summons a ring of tornadoes that expand outward.

    Tell: He stops moving to channel the swirl.

    Counter: Use Hollowing — burrow underground as the ring expands.

  3. Phase 3 — Escalated dash + tornadoes

    Pattern: Longer dash, three hops, then tornado burst again at higher intensity.

    Tell: Dash path visibly extends; three hops precede the tornado summon.

    Counter: Reposition early for the dash; burrow the follow-up tornadoes. Keep attacks short.

The Duchess

  1. Phase 1 — Stone statue

    Pattern: Wide horizontal swing across the arena; jumps on floor plates that fire ground arrows.

    Tell: Wind-up before the swing; jump telegraphs arrow lanes.

    Counter: Burrow on swing wind-up. Stay above or below — arrows break on her body if she blocks your lane.

  2. Phase 2 — Tentacle reveal

    Pattern: Faster swing into immediate lunge; tentacle slams burst 3–6 times at your position; arrows persist.

    Tell: Quicker swing wind-up; lunge follows instantly; ground-burst tracks your position.

    Counter: Keep moving in one direction to outrun bursts. Burrow through arrows; favour ranged sidearms.

Nox's Beast

Nox's Bayou · Hard · Sidearm: Daggers · Pit Preserver trinket

  1. Main phase — water arena

    Pattern: Bounces, poison bubbles, stomach suction mouth, ground slam sending expanding wave rings; destroys shallow water into pits.

    Tell: Short hop before each bounce; second mouth opens for suction; slam precedes rings.

    Counter: Dodge bounces; stay at range for suction. Jump wave rings — burrowing does not block them.

  2. Low health — swimming

    Pattern: Swims diagonally through water, carving deep pits and damaging on contact.

    Tell: Submerges and charges diagonally.

    Counter: Burrow in the opposite diagonal to avoid the swim path and fresh pits.

Madd House

  1. Phase 1 — Awakening

    Pattern: Awakening animation on entry; attacks largely from above with awkward hitboxes overhead.

    Tell: Opening awakening animation — free hit window.

    Counter: Land early hits during awakening. Burrow to sides or below — never fight from above.

  2. Phase 2 — Bombs (low health)

    Pattern: Throws bombs that blanket the arena for area damage on explosion.

    Tell: Bombs begin appearing across the arena.

    Counter: Move to a safe spot, wait out explosions, then resume from sides/below.

Midden

Queensbury Crypt (Ancestral Chamber) · Easy · Optional secret fight

  1. Single phase

    Pattern: Secret optional encounter — single phase, Easy difficulty.

    Tell: Provoke with the insult dialogue option after opening the chamber door.

    Counter: Bring two Plasma Vials to reach the chamber; treat as a bonus trinket run.
